Kopparbeard

Farewell Urban Forest
So after five weeks of fun in the Urban Forest Festival its sadly time to say goodbye to the gorgeous little Kopparberg Car Park Pop up. After creating such an oasis of flora and...well not fauna but cider, music, cocktails and incredibly creative lighting systems, they are, of course, saying goodbye in a very individual way - with floral beards!
Kopparbeard
The queues by the flower cart continued throughout the afternoon - everyone eager to have flowers sprouting from their beards - or entwined in their hair. The artistry of the florists was very impressive - and festival goers were even allowed to pick out their own flowers and have a go themselves.

After a summer of big names such as Gaz Coombes, some excellent live performances from We Were Evergreen and Sailor and I, and dj entertainment every night - Kopparberg treated us all to some more talent on their final Saturday night.

Totally worth the wait once you're in!

Danish singer songwriter

Mø gave an energetic performance to an incredibly enthusiastic crowd - and to everyone's delight she jumped off the stage and danced amongst her audience. She also joined in with the flower decoration trend. Her Grimes/Twin Shadow synth electro pop also echoed shades of Toni Basil and Ting Tings teen charm.  http://www.momomoyouth.com/

Last Lynx
Californian vibes from this upbeat Swedish pop band. Funky bass lines and
melodic vocals with accents of Fleetwood Mac and De La Soul. Also impressive use of a variety of toy instruments from female band member Camilla Dahlstedt.

Buffalo Joe's
Yummy buffalo wings (mild or hot - whatever your preference) and the best coffee on site. I was even able to request my usual three sugars with no look of reproach ;)

From Elk meatballs to Ox Cheek burgers - Yum!

The perfect way to spend a summer evening - Well done Kopparberg - a free London event that I truly hope will reappear next year!
