Urban Forest Festival
Londoners love pop-ups - and this one is a real gem. The Abbot Road Car Park in Dalston transformed into a scandinavian themed music venue for the whole summer. This hidden space is free entry with well chosen new and established musicians performing in this intimate outside space. And don't worry - they serve more than just a variety of a popular brand of swedish cider - beers cocktails and spirits are also on offer. And there are three well chosen food outlets onsite providing a variety of treats including Elk meatballs, jerk chicken and buffalo wings. http://kopparbergurbanforest.com/
Following a DJ set and a few ciders in the sun the brighton based duo filled the space with their drum and synth based sound. Pleasing vocals from Rachel and a fun energy on stage! https://www.facebook.com/gapsmusic/info
A quick cider break in the upstairs bar - bordered by cute narrow 'meadow' and lit with bottled bulbs.
The perfect drinking partner for any occasion - a giant elk! ...or is it a moose?
A real treat to end the night - French band We Were Evergreen performed - with a Belle and Sebastian/Sufjan Stevens vibe - wonderfully summery sound and the added energy of intermittent drum bursts lifting the room. https://www.facebook.com/wewereevergreen

Great blog giving a prefect insight into a truly lovely and non-pretentious music festival in London.
